So in addition to the Echo Park Locos, V*EXP and various other smaller gangs, there seems to be a new gang in my neighborhood calling themselves The Porks. They're definitely a gang though and not some band that played at Spaceland on Monday night because I saw their graffiti this morning and it was on a house that is typically spray painted by gangs looking to publicize their particular real estate interests. It was amid some other kind of slogan that I couldn't decifer but it clearly read: "The Porks."

I think they are my favorite gang in Echo Park now. Previously I was partial to the Locos but don't tell EXP.

In a related story, the family of violent criminals down the street who, earlier this year, had been misguidedly insisting upon a kind of checkpoint where they would stop all the white yuppies in economy sedans and show their gang sign in hopes that the yuppies would show theirs back or something (???) and then start a gun fight or something (???,) well, they're moving out! I saw them packing their bullet riddled (an obvious exaggeration) furniture into a U-Haul yesterday.

Maybe they are moving to be closer to whatever prison their youngest son was taken to after he was arrested for murder over New Years.
