Leave it to me to be driving down Ventura Blvd just as a fire hydrant erupts into a geyser, the force of the water destroying the power lines directly above it, ultimately causing real live explosions. Leave it to me to think, "oh I'll just get by this, get my errands done and take the freeway back to work" just as one of the power lines fully bursts into a lightening bolt both in brightness and in force, that threw my car to the side of the road (two feet to the right like a strong gust of wind.)

Kind of incredible really. As was the Special Olympics Torch Run that rounded the corner toward the unnatural disaster very shortly thereafter.

The world is an exciting and dangerous place.

As least the Special Olympics runners had a police escort to protect them. At this point, I should probably look into getting one of those.

In other news, last weekend we went camping in the San Bernardino Mtns which I had never really spent much time in outside of occasional sledding excursions and a bear brushed against our tent SLASH tried to eat us in the middle of the night.

After all of this excitement and danger I have earned the right to spend every free moment trying to fully absorb the entire Six Feet Under series, right?
