This past weekend we went to Pasadena to walk around in the only rain we've seen for probably 200 days. It was coming down in buckets as we split a breakfast burrito on the patio of the burrito stand/restaurant and we got soaked running to the car but I wouldn't have minded driving around in a convertible that day. To see rain come out of the sky, instead of the ground was probably the prettiest thing I'd seen all year.

At the Apple store in Pasadena, we took a picture of my face and saved it to one of the phones. I wonder if anyone I know will find it and question me about it. I hope they do. I live for that kind of coincidence.

Today I found out Madeleine L'Engle passed away earlier this month. YOU DIDN'T KNOW HER LIKE I DID, DIARY. YOU DIDN'T! I even read her novels for young adults. You were probably only a casual fan, maybe you read "A Wrinkle in Time" maybe you read the sequel but did you delve into her more sophisticated work??? Do you still think of tesseracting on a daily basis!?

No. I didn't think you did but I bet you read all 90 Harry Potters.
