I think that the same kind of person that wants to be a landlord is also the same kind of person who wants to manage rock bands. I.e. the kind of person who plans to put in very little time and expects to earn very big returns. (No offense to good ol'Mike K, he's a hard worker.) On the average, they seem to be the type that expects that their reputation has preceeded them and when they discover it hasn't, they become bitter and condescending. A landlord expects to be able to circumvent repairing their buildings to the same degree as a manager expects not to be required to check their email more than once daily, and I know how checking email can be taxing. Almost as taxing as placing one or two phone calls to the band that's making you rich.

Its obvious that today is going well. Its the beginning of mercury retrograde, for me, it started last week when the cops stole my car. The bastards!
