The birthday celebration of last night was QUITE celebratory. We all had a lovely dinner and afterward went downtown to divey Hank's and drank whiskey and tried to throw popcorn into each other's mouths. THEN we came home to mi casa and ate b-day cakes (one made by mom and one made by cousin - neither were a water cracker but hey, still yummy.) We gave my neighbor a run for his noise-making money with dancing, esp. with a dance we like to call 'stomping those pony hooves' which has been in development since Ryan P's birthday in January.

Around 3:30 people began dropping out and finally around 4:30 Daniel had the good sense to put on a movie which acted as a heavy sedative. Otherwise it could have been sunlight before I gave my pony hooves a rest.

I woke up this morning to find shivering groups of sleeping bodies huddling together for warmth because I think we killed the heater last night.

Good fun, diary, good fun.
